The American Land Title Association (ALTA) announced GridBase’s Closing Agent Management, formerly known as Closepin, has partnered with the national ALTA Title and Settlement Agent Registry, and the two are planning to bring an integrated solution to market.
“We are excited to collaborate with GridBase to provide mortgage lenders with accurate and confirmed information about settlement services providers,” Diane Tomb, ALTA’s CEO, said in a release. “The ALTA Registry is a unique real estate utility created specifically for the mortgage industry and technology providers such as GridBase.”
ALTA launched the ALTA Registry in 2017 as the first national database of title insurance agents and settlement companies. In addition to contact information and branch locations for agents and title companies, each ALTA Registry listing also includes a title agent or real estate attorney’s unique seven-digit ALTA ID.
Title agents who are members of the registry will now have their ALTA ID’s available in GridBase’s Closing Agent Management database, creating a smoother loan processing experience for their mortgage lender partners.
