Title Resources Group (TRG) announced 30-year industry veteran Kevin Wall, who most recently served as co-president of First American Title Insurance Co., will be the underwriter’s new CEO and board of directors member, effective July 28. Current CEO J. Scott McCall will be appointed vice chairman of the board of directors.
“Kevin’s proven ability to lead large, complex organizations and deliver results through innovation and operational excellence makes him the ideal leader for TRG’s next phase,” TRG Chairman of the Board Alan Colberg said in a release. “His deep industry expertise, client-first mindset, and track record of building high-performing teams will be invaluable as TRG continues to expand its national footprint and deliver best-in-class solutions to our partners and customers.”
At First American, Wall led seven operating units and global operations spanning more than 7,500 employees. Under his leadership, First American completed several acquisitions, including ServiceMac and Docutech. Prior to that, he held senior leadership roles at Fortress Investment Group, Nationstar, CoreLogic and Wells Fargo Financial.
“Joining Title Resources Group is an exciting new chapter in my career,” Wall said. “Throughout my journey in the title and mortgage industries, I have seen firsthand the critical role title insurance plays in protecting property rights and enabling homeownership. TRG’s commitment to innovation, customer service and partnerships with agents and lenders aligns perfectly with my own values. I look forward to working with the talented TRG team to build on the company’s strong foundation and accelerate our growth in a rapidly evolving market.”
McCall was named CEO of TRG in 2009. During his tenure, TRG became the fifth-largest title insurance underwriter. He drove operating efficiencies and strategic growth, resulting in consistent year-over-year strong financial results.
“Scott is an accomplished business executive and strong leader who has guided TRG to be the dynamic underwriter it is today,” Colberg said. “He has cultivated a people-valued, customer-centric organization with long-standing unique partnerships in all facets of the real estate industry. We look forward to Scott continuing this legacy in his new role on the board.”
As vice chairman, McCall will continue to focus on TRG clients and partners and will work closely with Wall through the leadership transition.
