Doma Title Insurance, Inc. has appointed Matthew Hood as agency manager in Doma’s Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky territories.
In this role, Hood will provide Doma independent agents with the tools, resources and underwriter support they need to thrive and grow in the coming years. He brings more than three decades of title insurance experience to his position.
Earlier in Hood’s career, he served as president of Escrow Title Services, Inc. in Chicago, providing escrow services to attorneys for more than a decade before moving to the Tri-State area. He has also managed territories for national underwriters, most recently as Midwest regional agency manager for a national underwriter, assisting the company with its development of new markets in six states.
“Matt is known as a tenacious advocate for agents and has a long history of helping agents succeed in markets across the United States,” Michael Holden, strategic agency manager for Doma, said in a release. “Because Matt has been a business owner in the title industry, he knows the challenges to building a successful title agency. In addition to having the knowledge and expertise to help his agents, he takes the necessary time to really understand each agent’s unique needs so he can provide them with the most effective resources and guidance.”
A graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor of arts in political science, Hood is a member of the Ohio, Central Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky land title associations, and is past president of the Miami Valley Land Title Association. He currently serves as the education committee chairperson for the Ohio Land Title Association and has earned the designation of Ohio Land Title Professional.
