North American Title Insurance Co. (NATIC) appointed Janice Cassidy as agency compliance manager. She will be responsible for evaluating and monitoring agencies, settlement agents, escrow agents and attorneys for compliance with agency, legal and regulatory requirements, company programs, and American Land Title Association Best Practices initiatives. Cassidy also will advise agents on issues impacting their business, helping them meet future challenges.
“Janice is well suited for the position of agency compliance manager, and she is ready to hit the ground running to provide our agents with the guidance they need on a myriad of issues,” NATIC President Emilio Fernandez said in a release. “Her impressive career demonstrates her commitment to two of our company values – being customer-obsessed and solution-driven – by providing the best possible course of action for agents to streamline their operations, while ensuring they are compliant with local, state and federal laws.”
A 25-year title insurance industry veteran, Cassidy is experienced in title examination, settlements, closings, auditing, and compliance analysis. She began her career as a title searcher and examiner before becoming owner of a title agency in New Jersey. She then became an escrow manager and title officer in Jacksonville, Fla., and worked as an auditor, claims analyst, software tester and escrow compliance and business analyst for Fidelity National Financial, according to her LinkedIn profile.
