Companies that embrace change and stay adaptable during market shifts are the ones that will succeed and grow. That’s the message Taylor Morrison Executive Vice President and President of Financial Services Tawn Kelley plans to deliver in her keynote address at the National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) next week.
“Growing forward is not optional,” she said. “This industry impacts many aspects of the economy and consumers’ lives, and having the opportunity to share the experience and success I’ve had will hopefully positively impact others.”
Kelley leads Taylor Morrison Home Funding, Inspired Title Services and Mortgage Funding Direct Ventures (MFDV), a management company which serves homebuilder partners through joint venture relationships.
She has deep roots in the real estate industry. Kelley founded MFDV in 2001, and in that the same year, MFDV and Morrison Homes began a partnership that evolved from a mortgage brokerage to a full-service lender. Taylor Morrison acquired MFDV management company and its interests in Taylor Morrison Home Funding in 2009.
Kelley plans to discuss how both leadership and change can manifest success no matter the market cycle, sharing some of her secrets to success. It’s important to embrace change and know that success can be achieved through many different paths, she said.
“With so much industry change and challenges, professionals need and are looking for new ideas and inspiration to grow forward both individually and their business,” Kelley said.
Kelley said she looks forward to sharing her experience and insights with industry members who share her passion for mortgage and settlement services. She expects her message to particularly resonate with those who want to understand the possibilities for their own career paths as well as those who are interested in partnerships and who understand the true value of relationships.
“The industry is evolving like never before, and as the economic and demographic changes impact the way business and services will adapt, experience has shown that people drive long-lasting performance and success. It is and will always be about the people,” Kelley said. “Relationships, trust, and respect within each area of real estate services relies on professionals with a commitment and dedication to the families that put their trust in us to secure homeownership for their future.”
