Settlement Processes

We are fully aware of RESPA and follow best practices and guidelines for all settlements. We maintain our files in a secure electronic environment where all paperwork can be reviewed by outside auditors if necessary. We collect written payoff statements, verify that home equity lines of credit are closed after settlement, secure all releases timely and disburse every file to the penny. We also offer convenience to the borrower within the limits of the law so customers can close wherever and whenever they choose. We deliver a finalized settlement statement to the borrowers and sellers for their review at least 24 hours in advance whenever possible.

Policy Production

We produce short form policies at closing so there is not wait for a final policy. We also remit to our underwriters within 10 days following the previous month. We have an "audit" check on policy remittances to ensure proper remittance of premium dollars.
