PLTA celebrates 103rd annual convention, welcomes new officers

The Pennsylvania Land Title Association (PLTA) announced its new officers and its 2024 award winners at its 103rd annual convention at the Kalahari Resort in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains.
More than 160 title professionals attended the event where the following new officers were sworn in by Don Kennedy, American Land Title Association president.
Those appointments included:
- President – Carrie Mann, Esq., CLTP
- Vice-President – Manny Chryssos, Esq., CLTP
- Treasurer – Shonna Cardello, CLTP, NTP
- Secretary – Brian Foley, CLTP
PLTA also presented the following awards:
- The James G. Schmidt Distinguished Service Award was awarded to Francis P. Kelly,
AAI, CIC. in recognition of the respect of his peers for substantial service and
contributions to the welfare of the land title industry.
- The Albert E. Pentecost Service Award was awarded to Sharon Burke, Esq. for making
the greatest contribution to PLTA for the year.
- The William W. Rice III Excellence in Education Award was presented to Paul Trefz,
CLTP for excellence in education and contributions to the Pennsylvania Land Title
Institute.
- The Anne L. Anastasi Trailblazer Award to for Outstanding Achievement and
Innovation was awarded to Michael O’Neal, Esq.
- The Froggatt Friend of the Industry Award was presented to Frederick Sheeler, Berks
County Recorder of Deeds.
- Outgoing chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, Chuck Nowicki, CLTP, NTP was
honored in recognition for his service in leading this Committee.
- 2010 Past President, Diana Sabol, CLTP, was presented the designation of Honorary
Member of the PLTA.
