Stewart Title announced Alan McCall joined the agency team as senior commercial underwriter. McCall will be responsible for analyzing and underwriting commercial real estate transactions across Florida and Georgia.
“This is an immense win for Stewart and our agents,” Senior Vice President and Southeast Agency District Manager Jay Reed said in a release. “Alan is a true industry heavyweight, and I know that with his expertise, we are well on our way to becoming the premier title services company.”
Prior to joining Stewart, McCall worked as Southeast regional underwriting counsel for a large title underwriter, where he also served as Florida state counsel. In that role, McCall underwrote complex commercial transactions throughout Florida and Georgia.
Among his many accomplishments over his career, McCall authored the mutual indemnification agreement, which is used across the real estate industry today.
“I am elated to have the opportunity to work for a company I’ve always respected,” McCall said. “The team at Stewart is very talented and driven to be the best possible partner for agents.”
McCall holds a bachelor’s degree and a juris doctor degree from the University of Florida. He is admitted to the Florida State Bar where he has chaired the FLTA Liaison committee of the Executive Counsel of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section since 1995.
