Stewart Title named Ashley Coco as Louisiana underwriting counsel. She will provide title agents with underwriting support and solutions for their in-state transactions.
“We are very pleased to have Ashley join our team of underwriters in the southwest region,” Senior Underwriter and Southwest Regional Underwriting Counsel Heidi Junge said in a release. “Ashley’s breadth of experience with closing commercial transactions, problem-solving focused underwriting and involvement in legislative efforts related to the title industry will serve her well in addressing the needs of our agents in Louisiana.”
Coco has more than 10 years of experience in real estate and title law. She has an extensive background in commercial real estate deals involving retail, industrial, single/multi-family housing development and the petrochemical industry. Prior to joining Stewart, she was the lead attorney heading the commercial services department of Commerce Title in Baton Rouge. She also worked as a title attorney in both the Dallas and Baton Rouge offices of a mortgage banking firm.

Coco is the former president of the Louisiana Association of Independent Land Title Agents as well as the former president of the Baton Rouge Independent Title Attorney’s Association. She holds a bachelor’s degree and a law degree from Louisiana State University and is licensed to practice law in Louisiana.
