CATIC adds claims counsel

CATIC has hired former State Rep. Joseph J. Taborsak to handle title claims filed under its title insurance policies, the company announced.

Taborsak will be based at CATIC’s Rocky Hill, Conn. office.

CATIC said Taborsak was admitted to practice law in Connecticut in 2003, and has been in private practice focusing on banking, real estate and litigation in the Danbury/New Milford area since then.

Taborsak is a graduate of Northeastern University and the Pace University School of Law. He represented Danbury in the Connecticut General Assembly House of Representatives from 2007-2013 and served as chairman of the General Law Committee and chairman of the 2011 CHFA Loss Mitigation Task Force.
