Ubitquity Inc launched its enterprise-grade NFTitle Network Malware Scanner, a forensic tool designed to detect on-chain threats and protect the integrity of digital and real-world asset transactions on its NFTitle Network. The scanner provides a layer of security for the title, escrow and insurance industries by identifying malicious payloads and tracing the history of funds in cryptocurrency wallets.
As real estate and other real-world assets become increasingly tokenized, the risk of exposure to illicit funds and on-chain malware has grown significantly, according to Ubitquity.
“Malicious actors can embed harmful data, such as executable files and phishing links, within blockchain transactions, creating new vectors for fraud,” Ubitquity said in a release. “The NFTitle Network Malware Scanner directly addresses this vulnerability by performing a deep analysis of wallet transaction histories to uncover hidden risks that could compromise a transaction or lead to significant financial loss.”
The new tool offers cost-saving benefits and risk mitigation for key players in the property transaction ecosystem.
By performing a forensic scan on a client’s wallet, title and escrow agents can verify that funds are not linked to sanctioned addresses or other illicit activities before closing a deal. This preemptive due diligence is crucial for preventing the entanglement of property titles with laundered money, thereby reducing the legal and operational costs required to remediate fraudulent transactions.
The scanner serves as a risk assessment tool, providing underwriters with a forensic report on the origins of assets. This clarity allows for more accurate policy pricing and lowers the risk of claims arising from on-chain fraud. “As real-world assets increasingly move on-chain, the integrity of every transaction becomes paramount,” Ubitquity founder and CEO Nathan Wosnack said. “We developed the NFTitle Network Malware Scanner as a critical defense layer, not just for asset holders, but for the foundational pillars of the real estate industry. For title, escrow and insurance professionals, this isn’t just a security tool; it’s a cost-mitigation engine. By providing deep forensic insight into on-chain activities, we empower these institutions to underwrite, transact and insure with unprecedented confidence, drastically reducing their exposure to the financial and reputational risks of illicit funds. This is the new standard for on-chain due diligence.”
