The Pennsylvania Land Title Association (PLTA) announced its new officers and its 2022 award winners at its 101st annual convention in Cambridge, Md. More than 200 title professionals attended the event.

“It was an honor to serve as PLTA President this year and I am proud of what we accomplished together,” outgoing PLTA President Todd Rowe said. “Going forward, I am confident that the association, led by the newly installed board and its executive director, will continue to ensure the general welfare of its members by building upon its advocacy momentum, maintaining its unique educational offerings and addressing any challenges or opportunities which come its way.”

ALTA President-elect Jack Rattikin III swore in PLTA’s new officers including President Cindy Mills, Vice-President Tommi Herbert, Treasurer Carrie Mann and Secretary Manny Chryssos.

“I’m so excited to be sworn in as the new president for the Pennsylvania Land Title Association. We have an exciting year ahead,” Mills said. “If you aren’t already a member, please consider joining PLTA. It’s going to be a great year.”

The convention also gave the group an opportunity to honor members who have earned their PLTA Professional Designation, including Christina Roessner, Evelyn Stillwell, Casey Vogel, Mandi Evans and Nancy Warner.

PLTA also recognized recipients of special awards, which are named in honor of some of its past president. Deb McClarigan received the James G. Schmidt Distinguished Service Award, given to that individual who has earned the recognition and respect of his/her peers for his/her substantial service and contributions to the welfare of the land title industry.

Manny Chryssos received the Albert E. Pentecost Service Award, which recognizes the individual who has made the greatest contribution to the association during the preceding year.

Rich Angelo received the William W. Rice III Excellence in Education Award, which  recognizes the individual who has earned the recognition and respect of his/her peers for excellence in education and contributions to the Pennsylvania Land Title Institute, the group’s educational arm.

Ed Hayes received the Anne L. Anastasi Trailblazer Award for Outstanding Achievement and Innovation, given to the person who embodies qualities noted in the name of the award.

The group recognized three of its past presidents, Richard Angelo, William Corrigan and Dallys Novarina, with the designation as Honorary Members of the PLTA.
