Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. announced the promotion of Matt Ryden to western states senior counsel.
Ryden underwrites for Idaho, Montana, Utah, Wyoming, and Hawaii. In this expanded role, he will contribute additional expertise and approval authority to the western states underwriting team.
“Matt Ryden is a gifted underwriter whose judgment and legal acumen I really admire,” Westcor Chief Underwriting Counsel Richard Bramhall said in a release. “He combines all the right qualities for a title underwriter: intelligent, creative, agent-oriented, and pragmatic. I am delighted that he has received this recognition and promotion.”
Ryden joined Westcor as underwriting counsel in 2014. Prior to joining the title industry, he worked in private law practice at large and small law firms in Boise, Idaho, for 11 years. Ryden practiced in insurance defense, employment law, business, and real estate transactions. Prior to law school, he worked in technology and banking.
Ryden has an undergraduate degree in finance from Santa Clara University, an MBA from Boise State University, and his JD from the University of Idaho.
