Patten Title Co., a Texas-based title services and real estate escrow company, has hired Daniel Ogilvie as its new chief financial officer.
Ogilvie joins Patten Title with a strong background in banking, finance, risk management and business intelligence. Before stepping into the title industry, he served as vice president of finance at a large national credit union, where he managed the risk and profitability of a $2.5 billion balance sheet. Prior to that role, he served as assistant vice president of quantitative finance, managing a balance sheet of nearly $9 billion.
As chief financial officer, Ogilvie will oversee the continued safety and soundness of Patten Title’s financial operations while helping to expand the company’s predictive capabilities, financial analytics and strategic decision-making resources. His work will support Patten Title’s continued growth by helping teams across the organization identify profitable opportunities, strengthen operational insight and make informed business decisions with greater clarity.
“Daniel brings the kind of financial discipline, strategic thinking and steady leadership that matter as Patten Title continues to grow across Texas,” Patten Title Co. President Eric Fontanot, said in a release. “His experience in risk management, finance and analytics gives us another layer of strength as we continue building a company that is not only focused on growth but built the right way. Just as important, Daniel understands that the numbers ultimately support the people. That fits perfectly with our values, our VIIP service mentality, and the way we want to show up for our clients and our teams every day.”
Ogilvie’s leadership will play an important role in supporting Patten Title’s long-term vision as the company continues to invest in infrastructure, technology, people, and processes that will create a stronger experience for clients, partners and employees.
“What stood out to me about Patten Title was the energy of the people,” Ogilvie said. “There is a kindness and willingness to help here that you can feel right away. I’m excited to be part of a company where the work we do has a direct impact on the people around us, both inside and outside the organization. My goal is to help provide useful insights and strong financial direction that support smarter decisions, sustainable growth and continued excellence across the company.”
Outside of work, Ogilvie enjoys reading, watching baseball and football, trying new foods and wine, and spending time with friends and family. On a day off, he can often be found exploring art shops or farmers markets, enjoying lunch downtown, or catching an Astros game.
