Proper Title LLC announced that Maria Milutinovic has joined the firm as commercial underwriting counsel to meet the growing demand for more local and multi-state transactions. The number of commercial real estate deals Proper Title closed rose 38 percent year-over-year as of March 1.
“Maria brings a deep understanding of both residential and commercial underwriting, along with the practical experience needed to navigate complex transactions,” Proper Title Chief Operating Officer Kathy Kwak said in a release. “As we continue to expand our national commercial platform, her expertise will help us deliver the high level of service and certainty our customers rely on.”
A 10-year veteran of the title insurance industry, Milutinovic most recently served as an attorney title officer at Chicago Title Insurance Co. In her new role, she will support Proper Title’s growing commercial pipeline, working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient underwriting process, according to a release.
A dual-degree attorney, Milutinovic brings experience across health care, compliance and mortgage law, with a strong foundation in underwriting analysis, legal research and client advisory. In previous roles, she has managed complex transactions, navigated evolving regulatory considerations and developed practical solutions for customers.
