Lawmakers questioning attorney general on review of Compass-Anywhere Real Estate merger

A group of U.S. Senate and House Democrats and one Senate Independent are asking U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi to release more details about the Department of Justice’s review of the $1.6 billion merger between Compass and Anywhere Real Estate. “This decision raises questions about corruption under your watch and its impact on housing affordability for American families,” the lawmakers wrote in a letter to Bondi on Feb. 19.
