Lighthouse Title Insurance Co., based in Greenville, S.C., continues to make personnel moves that leaders say reflect both momentum and long-term vision.
After hiring Oscar Ody from PropLogix in 2023 to help lead growth and business development, Lighthouse has expanded into Tennessee, bringing on industry veteran Chris Peugeot from WFG. With more than 33 years of title experience, Peugeot will lead Lighthouse’s Tennessee operations as a sales and marketing specialist. Peugeot has sold and managed title insurance at various title companies, understands what makes a great underwriter and the processes they have in place with their agents. His primary responsibility is to increase clientele throughout Tennessee through personal and eventually his team's production.
Peugeot grew up in Atlanta, and has a degree in marketing/management from Lipscomb University in Nashville, Tenn. Peugeot and Stephany, his bride of 33 years, live in Nashville as empty nesters.
Lighthouse also hired Joe Phelan, a South Carolina native and recent Clemson University graduate, representing the next generation of title professionals and business development leadership. Phelan will serve as an account executive at Lighthouse’s office in Georgetown, S.C.
“For as long as I can remember, my dad has practiced residential real estate law,” Phelan said in a release. “Growing up around his office and his work has shaped my professional interests, particularly in my role at Lighthouse. Through my experience working for my dad and interning at Bell Carrington in Greenville, I have seen firsthand how important title insurance is to the real estate process. These experiences, including my work at Elliott, Phelan, & Kunz in Georgetown, S.C., have led me to consider pursuing law school in the future to be a real estate lawyer like my dad, Sean Phelan.”
