The CATIC Foundation Inc. announced that the CATIC Kay Parker Jex ’74 Memorial Scholarship Fund at St. John’s University School of Law has been fully funded.
Established in 2022, the endowed scholarship honors the life and legacy of Kay Parker Jex ’74, a distinguished alumna of St. John’s University School of Law and a respected professional in the field of real estate law. With the endowment now reaching its pledged funding level of $50,000, the scholarship will provide ongoing financial assistance to academically qualified and deserving students at the School of Law.
In keeping with Ms. Jex’s professional focus and commitment to empowering women in law, preference for the scholarship will be given to female students interested in real estate law who demonstrate classroom engagement and leadership.
“We are deeply grateful to the CATIC Foundation for their generosity and vision in establishing and fully funding this scholarship,” said Jelani Jefferson Exum, Dean and Rose Dimartino and Karen Sue Smith Professor of Law at St. John’s University School of Law, said in a release. “This enduring gift will not only honor Kay Parker Jex’s remarkable legacy but will also help future generations of St. John’s Law students pursue their passion for real estate law.”
