Artificial intelligence (AI)-based tools help make companies’ title production systems more efficient and productive, but they can also play a role in improving firms’ bottom lines. The supplemental tools offered by the different software providers in this space can help companies generate revenue, lower expenses or perhaps do both.
John Freyer, co-founder and president of Settlor Inc.; Matt Younkle, co-founder and president of Pythonic; Hoyt Mann, co-founder and president of alanna.ai; and Andy White, co-founder and CEO of Closinglock, spoke with The Title Report about the ways that companies can benefit monetarily from using their tools.
Younkle said tools offered by Pythonic can both lower expenses and help title companies generate revenue.
“On the expense side, we replace hours of manual document handling with automated accuracy,” he said. “On the revenue side, faster turnaround means our clients can close more transactions with the same team, which directly boosts their capacity.”
When speaking with title company leaders, Mann said he’s learned that revenue information is not easy to access.
“The information is there, but it’s hidden — hard to access, hard to act on, and often too time-consuming to pull into a report,” Mann said. “That’s why we built Alanna Insights: to make it simple for owners and sales teams to uncover what really drives revenue, which referral partners are gaining or slipping, and where deals are at risk before they’re lost.”
White noted he’s found that making the closing process faster, safer and easier both reduces expenses and helps the business grow.
“Disbursements are one of the biggest drains on title teams’ time, taking 9-18 hours per file on average,” White said. “We’re working toward reducing that entire workload to minutes.”
Freyer noted his firm has an open API gateway that allows AI-powered CRM tools to ingest Settlor customer data that will help sales and marketing teams identify the highest capture and return probability targets.
“Our open API gateway enables integration with companies like alanna.ai, which enables intelligent communication and interaction with clients as well as order entry automation functionality that reduces resource costs related to basic transactional support and repetitive data entry tasks,” Freyer said.
