First National Title Insurance Co. (FNTI) announced the addition of Dean Talaganis to its growing team of underwriting counsel.
Based in Ohio, Talaganis brings over 35 years of experience in real estate, title law, underwriting, operations, and marketing to the role.
Talaganis has served as national underwriting counsel with another national underwriter and as underwriting counsel for several national and state agencies. He has advised agents nationwide and managed a lot of underwriting decisions. His expertise includes guiding agents on bankruptcy, probate, foreclosure, construction, manufactured homes, tax deed sales, and other real estate and title matters.
Throughout his career, Talaganis has held multiple leadership roles as well as having his own law practice. His work has spanned national commercial and residential closings, underwriting and claims counsel, risk management, litigation and operational leadership for teams across multiple states.
Talaganis earned his JD from Capital University Law School and a bachelor of science degree in business administration, industrial marketing from Youngstown State University. He is admitted to practice law in all Ohio courts, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, and the United States Court of Claims. He is also licensed to sell title insurance in Ohio and Michigan.
