RamQuest announced it successfully renewed its SOC 2 Type 2 certification, signaling adherence to top industry standards for data security.
SOC 2 Type 2 certification indicates an organization’s cybersecurity and control measures meet all requirements set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), as verified by anassessment from external auditors. Organizations must demonstrate adherence to best practices as defined by the AICPA’s Trust Services Criteria.
“Our team has worked diligently to develop and maintain a comprehensive cybersecurity infrastructure and protocols designed to protect customers,” Paula Maurstad, RamQuest president, said in a release. “We are proud to uphold this industry gold standard for strengthening our cybersecurity defenses, and we continue to assure our customers that we will not sell their data.
“This achievement underscores the enterprise’s unwavering commitment to protecting real estate transactions and customer data. As real estate transactions become increasingly digitized, title insurance companies and their customers face heightened risks of cyberattacks and data breaches. These threats can result in significant financial losses, reputational damage, and legal consequences.”
