SoftPro, a title, closing and escrow software, integrated with Corporation Service Company (CSC) for eRecording with its business exchange platform, SoftPro 360.
SoftPro users now may link seamlessly to CSC’s eRecording services via SoftPro’s free business exchange platform. SoftPro 360 acts as a bridge for SoftPro customers to order the closing and title services and products they need with their SoftPro data. CSC’s secure, web-based service enables submitters to transmit electronic real estate documents to jurisdictional recording offices throughout the nation and record documents more quickly, more securely, and more cost-efficiently according to the announcement. Document statuses can be tracked within SoftPro 360.
Once documents have been recorded, CSC returns a customer invoice to the users’ SoftPro account that includes recording information, recording fees, taxes (if applicable) and the eRecording service fee. The invoice evidences the recording of the documents and associated costs for the loan file and aids the reconciliation process. CSC also processes payment of recording fees and taxes directly to the recording jurisdictions, eliminating payment errors and payment by check.
“The integration with CSC provides significant time-savings for SoftPro customers’ eRecording processes,” SoftPro Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing Patrick Hempen said. “Everything from submitting documents electronically, to submission to payment of recording fees is handled without rekeying any data.”
SoftPro 360 extends a national marketplace to SoftPro users. Because SoftPro 360 is a free service, there are no additional fees to ordering services such as CSC’s eRecording.
“CSC is pleased to introduce the speed, security, and versatility of our eRecording services to the SoftPro 360 platform,” CSC Vice President Mark Rosser said. “As the industry’s leading eRecording service provider, we can say with confidence that SoftPro customers are in good hands with CSC.”
