Bristol South is the final county in Massachusetts to adopt eRecording making technology available statewide.
Bristol South recently adopted Simplifile’s secure, web-based recording services so customers such as title companies, banks, attorneys, lien filers and other document submitters have the ability to record documents, such as land records, online with the county.
“It’s exciting to see another state offer eRecording in 100 percent of its counties, and we are honored to be that provider for all of our customers both locally and nationally who submit documents for recording in Massachusetts,” Simplifile President Paul Clifford said. “eRecording is not only more convenient, but it’s also a more secure way to submit documents and payments for recording to the county. It cuts down on paper waste, and it’s a win-win solution for everyone involved in the recording process.”
Massachusetts joins Alaska, Colorado, Hawaii and Delaware who also offer eRecording statewide using Simplifile.
Benefits of eRecording include fewer payment errors, reduced mailing expenses and increased document security. Recording fees and payments also can be processed electronically through the software using Automated Clearing House.
