Stewart recently completed its first real estate eClosing in Minnesota, the company announced.
The company said the lender and title closing documents were executed electronically through Pavaso’s eClosing platform. Fairway Independent Mortgage in Bloomington, Minn. was the lender.
“Digital closing is no longer a thing of the future,” Stewart Senior Vice President, Industry Relations Scott Gillen said in a release announcing the eClosing. “It’s here, and by completing our first hybrid eClose in Minnesota, we’ve taken the first step toward a full digital mortgage.
“We’re excited about our partnership with Fairway to facilitate a superior consumer experience and will continue to lead and support our transaction partners and consumers,” Gillen added.
“As this industry implements more and more technology, we have to remind ourselves that speed does not automatically go hand in hand with satisfaction, Fairway Loan Officer Dale Gross said. “However, the combination of the two will result in confidence and smiles.
“Fairway Mortgage is choosing to offer eClosings with Stewart to provide our borrowers sufficient time before closing to review all the documents they are signing,” Gross added. “This will improve the borrower’s awareness and comfort, as well as provide a more efficient closing experience in partnership with Stewart Title.”
