Alliant National Title Insurance Co. announces that deputy general counsel and senior vice president Margaret Cook was awarded the designation of Certified Title Insurance Specialist (CTIS) by the Land Title Association of Colorado (LTAC).
The CTIS designation is a professional designation awarded to those individuals who have completed classes, exams and other requirements and also displayed a thorough understanding of title insurance and closing information. It was developed by LTAC to promote greater pride in the title insurance profession, higher standards of professionalism, and better relations between the title insurance and real estate industries while recognizing exceptional persons.
To receive the certification, Cook had to complete ten years of active, full-time employment in the title industry and provide credible evidence of experience in the following areas: Deeds and Conveyances, Liens and Encumbrances, Legal Descriptions, Escrow and Closing Procedures, Colorado Title Licensing Course or Colorado Statutes and Regulations, and Policies and Endorsements.
“I am honored to be named a CTIS,” says Cook. “It is a great source of pride to be recognized for my hard work and dedication to the title insurance industry. I love what I do, and this certification will only help me to further serve Alliant National’s network of independent agents and property owners.”
