Thomas Title & Escrow brought aboard three new hires in Texas and Arizona, the company announced in a recent e-news blast from the president and chief executive officer, Frank Busch III.
Veteran real estate lawyer Louis Strawn has joined as executive vice president. He is responsible for business development for Texas, and will also provide legal analysis and support for title and escrow matters. Stephanie Taylor was recently named a relationship manager in Dallas. Erin Curley has joined as senior vice president in Arizona, responsible for optimizing business processes across the firm's operations.
Prior to joining Thomas Title & Escrow, Strawn was a real estate partner at the Dallas offices of McElree Smith P.C. from 2010 until 2013, and was a Shareholder at Winstead P.C. from 2005 until 2010. Prior to Winstead, Strawn was senior counsel at Jackson Walker L.L.P. and a Partner at Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP (formerly Locke Liddell & Sapp). He also enjoyed a distinguished 26-year career with Prudential Financial, which began in Houston, Texas, in 1974.
Strawn was also very active in the negotiation of title policy commitments and affirmative coverage issues from an investor’s perspective. While at Prudential, Strawn covered all major commercial markets in the United States. He completed his career at Prudential in 1999, serving as the chief legal officer for Prudential’s commercial real estate operations worldwide with assets totaling in excess of $45 billion.
Taylor is a graduate of Texas Tech University with a background in real estate marketing. Prior to joining Thomas Title & Escrow, Taylor worked at Bright & Co. Marketing (BCM), which is a Bright Industries company specializing in real estate marketing solutions. While at BCM, she managed all marketing programs directed at generating new home sales for one of the largest master-planned communities in North Texas. She also managed various other accounts for BCM’s clients throughout Texas. Before joining BCM, Taylor served as marketing coordinator for Republic Property Group for four years, handling sales and marketing efforts at a large master-planned community.
Curley received her MBA from Duke University. Prior to joining Thomas Title & Escrow, Curley served as vice president of the International Genomics Consortium where she oversaw operations for a large, multi-year contract to establish a network of hospitals across the country to accelerate cancer research. Curley also was a senior vice president at a $4 billion bank holding company where she assisted the chief administrative officer to manage legal, risk management, operations, information technology and human resources.
