Two honors were announced within the Stewart family this week. Stewart Title Guaranty Co. awarded Riverview Title & Escrow Services with its Foundation of Excellence award, and vice president of Stewart Title Co. Mid-Atlantic region, Morgan Gilligan, accepted a position on the board of trustees for Maryland Art Place (MAP).
Foundation of Excellence award
Stewart Title Guaranty Co. presented the award to Riverview Title & Escrow Services, a Hillsborough County, Fla., title agency, in a ceremony held at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Kissimmee.
Agency owner Brian Harte and closer Roseann Carter were on hand to accept the award from Stewart Agency Services Manager Liz de Quesada.
The Foundation of Excellence award honors Stewart agents for five years of issuing Stewart title policies without an at-fault claim. Riverview Title has issued Stewart policies since its inception in 2005.
“We are pleased to award Riverview Title & Escrow Services with the Foundation of Excellence award,” said de Quesada. “We truly value our agency relationships and their experience, and aim to be the best underwriter partner possible.”
Gilligan
MAP is a non-profit art center located in Baltimore and was created in 1981 to encourage the growth of contemporary art in Maryland. Each year MAP offers rotating exhibits and many diverse events and programs that are free to the public.
"I am honored to be a part of Maryland's premiere art organization," Gilligan said. "I am excited to work with the board and chairwoman Suzi Cordish to nurture and enhance the contemporary art community within the state."
As a member of the board, Gilligan will serve as this year's chairman of the organization's annual spring fundraising event, Out of Order. The event will feature contemporary art pieces from Baltimore artists that will be sold in a silent auction at the end of the evening.
