October Research LLC is pleased to announce the airing of its
2012 Dodd-Frank Webinar Series, a three-part instructional program designed to provide training on very important areas industry members are facing this year under the Dodd-Frank Act and its regulations.
Hosted by Dodd Frank Update, the complete series includes:
- Part 1: CFPB’s Supervision of Loan Originations
- Part 2: The New Age of the Whistleblower
- Part 3: Ability-To-Repay and Risk Retention (QM and QRM)
Part 1 focuses exclusively on the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau’s (CFPB) supervision of loan originations. It is a 60-minute training Webinar on the “Mortgage Origination Examination Procedures” and will prepare loan originators for CFPB regulatory examinations. Settlement services professionals should also tune in, given that examinations will force originators to closely scrutinize the closing process. This Webinar airs July 26 at 3 p.m. ET and features professional mortgage attorneys Richard Andreano Jr. and Christopher Willis from Ballard Spahr LLP.
Part 2, “The New Age of the Whistleblower,” is a 60-minute training session devoted to educating participants on the CFPB’s new whistleblower provisions and what companies need to do to limit their risks. Part 2 airs on Aug. 23 at 2 p.m. ET.
Part 3 is a 90-minute instructional Webinar providing in-depth training on Dodd-Frank’s ever-controversial ability-to-repay and risk retention requirements. Our featured speakers will educate participants on the final rules and define a qualified residential mortgage and qualified mortgage under the new regulations. This Webinar will air shortly following the release of the final rules.
“We have seen numerous regulations, provisions and interpretations proposed and finalized under the Dodd-Frank Act and there are still many more to come,” said Nathan Marinchick, editor of Dodd Frank Update and moderator for the Webinar series. “It is so crucial that compliance personnel and mortgage and settlement services professionals stay on top of these new regulations and provisions so that when the time comes, their companies will not be in the hot seat under the new bureau.”
Join Marinchick and your colleagues for this Dodd Frank Update exclusive Webinar series and let us ease some of the compliance burdens you are facing under the new consumer bureau. Register today.
