Simplifile, the nation’s largest e-recording network, may now submit documents electronically to Pima County, Ariz., where e-recording is now available to the general public.
Since last April, e-recording with Pima County was in a pilot program phase, where only a select number of qualifying companies were able to submit electronic documents to the Recorder’s Office for recording through Simplifile.
“Simplifile users will be excited to learn that Pima County has made e-recording available to all document submitters,” said Paul Clifford, president of Simplifile. “Arizona is one of three states in the country that offers e-recording in every recording jurisdiction, so this is big news for hundreds of local submitters who are already using Simplifile for most, if not all of their land document recordings in the state.”
E-recording has proven to be advantageous for both the county and its submitters, as it has helped curtail costs associated with traditional paper document recording such as postage fees and check-writing expenses. It has also significantly reduced the turnaround time for recording, as e-recorded documents are returned to the customer faster than traditional mail, sometimes within minutes or hours upon submission.
Simplifile offers free trainings and demonstrations for new users as well as 24/7 customer support. To begin e-recording in Pima County through Simplifile call (800) 460-5657 or visit Simplifile.com.
