Agents National Title Insurance Co. (ANTIC) announced the addition of Michael Bates to its underwriting staff. Mike will handle underwriting duties for the southern region.
Bates is a veteran in the title agency business, having worked on both sides of the fence since graduating from law school at the University of Tennessee. Mike held several positions involving underwriting and agency management at a regional agency-only title insurance underwriter prior to founding and operating a full service title agency for 18 years.
After selling his agency he accepted an underwriting position with Southern Title Insurance Corp. and again worked in several positions involving servicing independent title insurance operations in multiple states. Bates brings to ANTIC a broad knowledge of both title underwriting and settlement agency experience.
ANTIC was founded in 2005 with the purpose of serving independent title agents. ANTIC’s web platform allows title agents to be more efficient while ANTIC can focus on hiring the best industry staff to provide timely underwriting support. The company’s stringent agent approval process has resulted in one of the best agent portfolios in the industry.
