Westcor Land Title Insurance Co. has promoted Steve Black to senior vice president, western states area manager, the company announced.
Black will report directly to Chief Operating Officer Scott Chandler. Westcor said Black will provide leadership and oversight of day-to-day business operations in the 17 states that make up its western area.
Black will be responsible for increasing Westcor’s presence in Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Wyoming, Utah and Alaska (when licensed) in addition to the states he already has been overseeing.
Black joined Westcor in 2015 as the Texas regional manager. He’s worked with Mike Koloski, vice president, western area manager. Koloski will continue to work closely with Black as he hands off the day-to-day management of the western states.
“Steve’s industry expertise and dedication to customer success and his ability to build strong teams makes him a perfect fit for Westcor’s long-term strategic goals,” Chandler said in a release. “Mike and Steve have been working very closely to set the stage for a smooth executive succession in the year ahead. They continue to amaze me with their ability to understand what our agents want and need in their market and what to deliver.
“Mike is a leader among his peers, really now for many years, Westcor has benefited from his guidance as he has been instrumental in building out Westcor’s western area region,” Chandler said. “We are confident that Steve will add great value to the strong foundation that Mike has put into place, very excited to see where we will go in the West.”
