Well-known industry consultant and National Settlement Services Summit (NS3) speaker Cindy McGovern has compiled many of her sales and inspiration tips in a soon-to-be-released book.
McGovern’s “Every Job is a Sales Job: How to Use the Art of Selling to Win at Work” (McGraw-Hill) is scheduled to be released in September,
The book helps title industry participants learn to identify selling opportunities, how to take control of personal and professional success, and shares McGovern’s 5-step sales process to help attract new business, retain existing customers, and spot opportunities to promote yourself and your ideas.
“While you may not have ‘sales’ in your title, that doesn’t mean you don’t sell,” said McGovern, CEO of Orange Leaf Consulting. “I believe that everyone is a salesperson, regardless of his or her job description. When you ask for a referral, a job, a raise, network to form a new connection, or interview for a job, you’re selling the other person on an ideal version of yourself.”
