The American Land Title Association (ALTA) Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Advisory Council now has 13 members, as five new members joined the original eight.
The newest members include Perla Aparicio, industry relations manager, paymints.io; Kristi Kaufman, agency underwriting counsel, Commonwealth Land Title; Kristie King, Doma underwriting; Andy Su, sales consultant, SoftPro; and Amye Von Seebach, president, CanopyTitle.
They join Chair Deborah Bailey, managing member, Bailey Helms Legal; Mark Bennett, executive director, Ohio Land Title Association; Michelle Glonek, vice president of human resources, First American Title; Dione Joseph OLTP, commercial title underwriter, Title First Agency, a division of Stewart Title family of companies; Mike Montalvo, executive vice president, Fort Dearborn Land Title; Elizabeth Reilly, vice president senior privacy counsel, Fidelity National Financial; David Scott, senior vice president, national/manager national agency services, Old Republic, and Elizabeth Wysong Berg, vice president for education and training, FNF Family of Companies.
In March, the ALTA Board of Governors voted to create the DEI Advisory Council, made up of members who helped develop DEI initiatives at their organizations.
“While the strides made by each group are important, and should continue moving forward, we feel it is time to join leaders of these groups to share information and reduce overlap of efforts and have one group that reports to the board of governors,” ALTA President Dan Wold said at the time. “As an industry that values homeownership and fair housing for all, we’re dedicated to taking meaningful action that benefits professionals in the industry and our communities.”
