Stewart Title promoted Melissa Bell from state escrow operations manager for Oklahoma to division president for Oklahoma. In her role, Bell will lead a team of more than 100 with a focus on growing the state’s brand and increasing market-share through digital strategies, increased efficiencies and recruiting.
“Melissa is a true industry professional that has proven herself through the years as someone who can consistently lead and manage top performing teams,” Stewart Group Senior Vice President Ryan Swed said in a release. “As we look to build up Oklahoma, Melissa will be instrumental in our success as her knowledge and experience of the local markets, along with her existing relationships, will help us identify areas to improve and grow.”
Bell joined Stewart last summer. She spent five years as a loan officer and mortgage lender before beginning a career in title and escrow as an escrow officer with First American Title in 2003. She joined American Eagle Title in 2010, where she opened and managed an escrow office in Canadian County.
“I’m very excited and appreciative for the opportunity Stewart Title has given me, and especially grateful for Ryan’s confidence, encouragement and support in this new role,” Bell said. “Together with the talented and experienced team at Stewart Title of Oklahoma, I’m looking forward to building off the successes we’ve had and creating a culture and destination for top talent.”
