Doma appointed James Casson to its independent agency team. Serving as agency manager for Indiana, as well as for northwest Kentucky and southwest Michigan, Casson services independent title agent and attorney customers and secures new business in these key Midwest states.
“James’ extensive experience in the industry has given him firsthand knowledge of the operational requirements of a title agency and its underwriting partners,” Doma Vice President and Strategic Agency Manager Michael Holden said in a release. “This knowledge has enabled James to provide his customers with consultative solutions to organizational challenges and efficiencies. He will be a strong ally for our Indiana agents and help expand our footprint in key Kentucky and Michigan markets.”
Casson brings 38 years of experience as a title industry leader, with half of that time spent working directly with title agents across the Midwest. He began his career as a regional manager for a large Michigan title agency, where he successfully expanded the company’s business footprint to include several new offices in the greater Detroit area. He then spent two decades as a regional agency manager for two large, national title insurers. Most recently, Casson served as controller and a business consultant for a mid-size title agency in Indiana.
“Throughout my career, I have focused on recruiting new title agents, increasing revenue and market share, and managing and expanding title company offices,” Casson said. “I’m excited to bring my strong track record of success to Doma as it focuses on its mission of transforming the title insurance business into one that is free of friction for both agents and consumers alike.”
