Title Alliance, LLC, named Catherine Hartnett as underwriting counsel for the western division. She will be the first point of contact regarding transactional matters including contract issues, earnest money disputes, title questions and complex escrow related matters.
“We are thrilled to have Catherine join our Title Alliance family and play a critical role in ensuring our joint ventures operations are nimble and responsive in matters requiring reliable compliance, title, escrow and contract guidance,” General Counsel and Compliance Officer Maria Deligiorgis said in a release. “We are confident that her experience and knowledge of the subject matter and of the industry makes her the perfect person to lead our western division underwriting and title team.”
Hartnett has a background in the title and escrow industry and more than 30 years of legal experience. Her career began as an assistant city attorney and prosecutor in Missouri before she became an associate and partner at a law firm and recently, general counsel for a regional title company. She holds degrees from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kan., and the University of Missouri.
“I’m excited for the opportunity to support our joint ventures, and I’m looking forward to growing our underwriting department in the western division,” Hartnett said. “It was important for me to join a company whose values align with mine, which is why I’m excited to start my new journey with Title Alliance.”
