National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) spoke out against the passage of H.R. 7, the Paycheck Fairness Act, by the U.S. House of Representatives.
NFIB Senior Manager of Federal Government Relations Jeff Brabant said the legislation, which addresses wage discrimination based on sex, will make legitimate business-related pay differences difficult to defend in court and invite frivolous lawsuits against small-business owners.
