Dallas-based Thomas Title & Escrow has named Marc Miller as its Dallas market president.
“Observing the continuation of title insurance underwriter consolidation and the aging out of long-standing commercial title professionals, I saw an opportunity to be part of an emerging national commercial title insurance company focused on growth and entrepreneurial thinking” Miller said in a release announcing his appointment.
“The established track record of Thomas Title & Escrow, its national footprint, and unique services were a deciding factor in my affiliation,” he added. “We have the best of both worlds, representing the largest commercial title insurance underwriters in the industry today, while remaining independent.”
During his more than 40 years in the industry, Miller has been involved in the start-up of two title companies, Texas Title and Capital Title of Texas, as president and CEO.
He spent more than half of his career involved with the formation of national commercial services with Ticor Title Insurance of California, where he managed 15 national title service offices. Miller served as Ticor’s Southwest Region manager, overseeing 10 states that included direct operations, agency services, national title services, and claims and underwriting.
