At its annual convention in New Orleans in December, the Louisiana Land Title Association elected its board of directors and officers for 2019.
On hand to lead the ceremony, conducted during a luncheon on the second day of the convention, was American Land Title Association board member Maureen Pfaff, the president and CEO of Olympic Peninsula Title Co.
Marx Sterbcow of the Sterbcow Law Group continued his term from 2017-2019 as president of the LLTA, with Leslie Bolner of Seale & Ross as the president-elect. Ron Ward of Landmark Title Group is the vice president, Hannah Robinson of Kean Miller LLP is the secretary/treasurer and John McCarthy of First American Land Title Insurance Co. of Louisiana is the immediate past president.
Board members for the 2017-19 term are Brent Laliberte of Bayou Title and Maria Pitre of Sure Title & Abstract.
Board members for the 2018-2020 term are Carolyn Bailey of Delta Title Corp., James Breaux of Liskow & Lewis and Vance Ott of Four Points Title.
Board members for the 2019-2021 term are Brian Ellis of Fidelity National Title Insurance Co., Peter Keenan of First American Title Insurance Co. of Louisiana, Irl Silverstein of WFT National Title Insurance Co. and Earle Thompson of WFG National Title Insurance Co.
The event set a record for attendance, according to Sterbcow, with a program that included 14 sessions and 30 speakers.
The spring conference for LLTA will be April 14-16 at Cypress Bend Resort in Many, La.
