Although their optimism dipped slightly last month, small-business owners continued to report plans to create new jobs and to increase pay levels to help fill open positions, according to the latest optimism index from the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB).
NFIB’s June optimism index reached the sixth highest reading for that month in the survey’s history.
