Alliant National Title Insurance Co. has completed the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 27001 certification for information assets security controls, the company announced.
ISO 27001 is a specification for an information security management system (ISMS) and outlines a framework of policies and procedures that includes all legal, physical and technical controls involved in an organization’s information risk management processes.
“Alliant National is the only title insurance underwriter in the nation to obtain an ISO27001 certification,” Alliant Chief Operating Officer David Sinclair said in a release. “For the fourth consecutive year, we are proud to achieve this validation and demonstrate to lenders, consumers, and our employees that we take the protection of their information very seriously.”
Alliant earned its first ISO 27001 certification in March 2015 and completed successful independent surveillance audits in 2016, 2017 and 2018 to maintain the certification.
