Palatine, Ill.-based Proper Title, LLC, a full-service title insurance agency serving the residential and commercial real estate sectors, has announced as part of its Proper Giving program a $25,000 donation to Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. The monetary donation, which was raised over the course of 12 months, is in addition to the many hours of service contributed by the firm’s employees.
“Lurie’s does amazing work for so many children and families in the Chicago area and beyond, and we are honored to be able to contribute to their mission through this donation,” said David Garside, executive vice president of title and escrow operations at Proper Title. “Commitment to our community is integrated into the Proper Title culture, as many of our employees pursue volunteer activities both as a part of our company and through their own initiatives.”
Garside presented the check to Brad Ballast, vice president of corporate giving, and Jennie Cimino, corporate partnerships office, both of Lurie’s along with a team of employees from Proper Title. In addition to Proper Giving’s monetary donations to Lurie’s, Proper Title’s employees also volunteer time each month to visit children at the hospital. Proper Title also coordinates volunteer opportunities at Lurie’s throughout the year.
“The experience of spending time with some of the children at Lurie’s is something our staff looks forward to,” said Garside. “Being able to support organizations like Lurie’s and other local charities brings even more meaning to the success of our company.”
Proper Title has been raising funds for Lurie’s since it founded Proper Giving in the summer of 2015. The company also donated $5,000 to the Chicago Children’s Museum. The firm contributes a portion of every residential and commercial transaction to its Proper Giving program.
