Simplifile has added nearly 30 county recording offices to its eRecording network, the company announced. Nationwide, more than 1,622 county recording offices electronically record deeds, mortgages and other documents through Simplifile.
The new offices are scattered throughout the country. Settlement agents in those jurisdictions now can electronically submit documents directly to the county recording office via Simplifile’s secure eRecording service.
“E-recording continues to gain momentum as more settlement agents and recording jurisdictions are realizing the time- and cost-saving benefits and the positive impact on borrower and lender satisfaction that eRecording provides,” Simplifile President Paul Clifford said in a release.
“With the addition of these new jurisdictions, Simplifile continues its efforts to expand the availability of e-recording nationwide,” Clifford added.
The new jurisdictions are Butte County, Calif.; Carroll County, Ind.; Saginaw County, Mich.; Murray County, Minn.; Sainte Genevieve County, Mo.; Williams County, Ohio; Brook County, Ore.; Gilliam County, Ore.; Lake County, Ore.; Malheur County, Ore.; Sherman County, Ore.; Corson County, S.D.; Moody County, S.D.; Hot Springs County, Wyo.; and Park County, Wyo.
