Stewart Lender Services appointed Kirk Bockoven senior vice president of loan quality. He will provide feedback to Stewart’s customers related to guidelines, industry trends, repurchase issues, risk management oversight, best practices and fraud prevention techniques.
He joins Stewart with more than 30 years of experience serving in loan quality positions, including 20 years working with lenders in loan quality and operations, as well as most recently, 10 years at Fannie Mae directing fraud and loan quality control oversight. He will report to Scott Gillen, executive vice president, originations and servicing executive.
“Kirk’s proven experience managing loan quality is a tremendous asset to Stewart Lender Services,” Gillen said. “We are thrilled to add Kirk to the Stewart team, and look forward to introducing him to our customers.”
Bockoven will provide support and guidance to clientele around conformity with GSE, FHA, VA and USDA underwriting and quality control requirements. In addition, he will utilize his recent GSE experience to ensure Stewart’s loan quality control offerings are current and effective for the constantly changing regulatory environment.
