The devastating results from the tornados that touched down in Oklahoma are still being processed, and the Oklahoma Land Title Association (OLTA) is doing what it can to help. For those wishing to help affected members of the title community, the OLTA has setup a
PayPal account for donations.
OLTA plans to use collected funds to provide aid to two members of the land title industry who have suffered complete losses of their homes — one family is with Abstract and Guaranty of Lincoln County and the other family is with American Eagle Title Insurance. Again, to make a donation, click this PayPal link. Instead of going through PayPal, you could send a pledge amount to the OLTA mailing address and follow-up with a check later or by sending a pledged amount to Kathy Fields-Smith with OLTA at [email protected].
“By taking pledge information, we’ll be able to go ahead and disburse funds based upon the cumulative amount instead of delaying for the actual checks to arrive,” OLTA stated on its site.
The OLTA mailing address is:
Oklahoma Land and Title Association
P.O. Box 1544 Oklahoma City, OK 73101
Part of the funds will also be given to the general relief Moore/Shawnee Tornado Fund set up by the Tulsa Community Foundation. Get more information on this fund at http://tulsacf.org/.
We have decided that the best course would be to provide gift cards that would allow them to purchase whatever items they need for their families. Any funds we receive will be split in thirds with one-third going to each of these individuals and the final third going toward the general relief Moore/Shawnee Tornado Fund set up by the Tulsa Community Foundation.
OLTA is willing to provide invoices for those who would prefer to process pledges through a corporate accounts payable system. Please contact Kathy for OLTA invoice requests.
