loanDepot has named Alec Hanson senior vice president, divisional manager of its new Pacific Southwest Division, the company announced.
loanDepot said Hanson will oversee the production and growth of Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming, Utah, Hawaii and southern Nevada while continuing to lead parts of Southern California. He previously served as vice president, regional production in Southern California.
“I’m delighted to announce Alec’s newly created role,” loanDepot Executive Vice President, National Sales John Bianchi said in a release. “Alec is truly a one-of-a-kind leader whose unique perspective continues to bring great success to loanDepot. Alec embraces change, seeing it as an opportunity for growth versus a disruption to business as usual, which is exactly the type of outlook needed in today’s competitive marketplace.”
loanDepot said Hanson was instrumental in the development and execution of its modern lending playbook, an interactive training program created to maximize the success of loanDepot’s loan officers.
“I’m extremely excited and grateful for the opportunity,” Hanson said. “loanDepot is truly a remarkable company and an incredibly rewarding place to work, especially as the industry continues to evolve.
“The mortgage and real estate industries are changing before our eyes, and loanDepot is leading the charge in transforming consumer expectations as it relates to their lending needs,” Hanson said. “Our CEO, Anthony Hsieh’s, vision when he established the company was to be the catalyst for change and I’m thrilled to contribute whatever and however I can to make that happen.”
