The Texas Land Title Association (TLTA) recently installed John Bruce as its president for the coming year.
Bruce is executive vice president and commercial escrow officer for Heritage Title Co. in Austin, Texas. He becomes TLTA’s 106th president.
“I'm honored to welcome John into this important position at our organization,” TLTA Executive Vice President and CEO Leslie Midgley said in a statement announcing the installation. “For more than 25 years, John has been an active and dedicated member of TLTA, chairing key committees, teaching continuing education classes, and serving with distinction on our board of directors.”
“He brings valuable title industry expertise and experience to the role of president, and he will be an outstanding leader for our organization over the next year,” she said.
Bruce currently serves on TLTA’s regulatory and finance committees, the Basic Manual Task Force, and is a member of the TLTAPAC Board of Trustees. He is a past recipient of Texas Land Title Association’s Young Title Person of the Year award in 1992; and he was awarded TLTA's Professional Excellence Award in 2010.
