Stewart Title hired Rob Sherman as its new senior division president for Texas, responsible for overseeing the state’s direct operations.
“Rob brings significant operational acumen from previous experience in our space and a long history in Texas, which enables us to continue to build and compete in our home state,” Group Senior Vice President Ryan Swed said in a release. “Our plan is to leverage Rob’s previous experience and knowledge as we look forward to continuing Stewart’s execution plan.”
Most recently, Sherman spent three and a half years at WFG National Title as senior vice president regional director, managing and operating the direct divisions in Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, Texas and Northern California. The first 22 years of his career were spent at First American Title, where he began his career in sales, working his way up to managing and operating the Texas direct operations.
“In my 26-plus years of experience in the title industry, I’ve come to realize that it’s people that make the difference, and one thing that attracted me to Stewart was the amazing people Stewart has, specifically in Texas, that are passionate about what they do and wanting to deliver for their customers,” Sherman said. “My goal is to not change what’s working, but help our people move the needle by investing in residential and commercial markets we’ve seen challenging in the past and increase revenue and grow market share in our flagship state.”
