Simplifile has begun eRecording with Collier County, Fla., the company announced.
“Collier Recording Department is pleased to add Simplifile to our eRecording accounts. We believe their addition will considerably increase our eRecording numbers, resulting in greater efficiency to recording clients as well as the clerk,” Collier County Clerk of the Circuit Court and Comptroller Dwight E. Brock said in a release.
Simplifile offers eRecording in more than 50 counties throughout the Sunshine State. In Collier County, Cottrell Title & Escrow was the first to eRecord using Simplifile.
“For years, the Cottrell Closing Experience has utilized Simplifile’s eRecording platform while conducting transactions in almost every county in the state of Florida. We are thrilled to be able to offer this service to clients in our hometown county of Collier,” Cottrell Title Managing Partner James P. Schlimmer said.
“Through Simplifile’s integration with ResWare, we are one step closer to redefining the closing experience for clients in Southwest Florida,” Schlimmer added. “This integration has made the eRecording process fully automated inside our organization. Clients are amazed that they can receive their recorded documents and executed title policies back in only a couple of hours. We love hearing our clients say that they expected this part of the process to take a month or more.”
Simplifile’s system also eliminates check-writing expenses by allowing settlement agents to submit recording fees and other recording-related expenses directly through an integrated electronic payment system.
