North American Title Group appointed Jefferson “Jeff” Howeth as senior vice president, general counsel. Howeth brings 20 years of experience in real estate and corporate law to the position, in addition to experience in securities, finance and executive management of legal and compliance functions of title insurance underwriters and agencies.

Howeth most recently served as vice president, deputy general counsel of PGP Title Inc. and Premier Land Title Insurance Co., subsidiaries of PulteGroup Inc. PulteGroup is a provider of title insurance and escrow and settlement services to new home customers. He also served as senior vice president, general counsel of Commerce Title and Closing Services. He spent nine years with Centex Corp., working as assistant general counsel of Centex Homes and Centex Corp., and later holding the position of executive vice president, general counsel of Centex Financial Services LLC.
